Job Summary

A healthcare technology solution is in need of a Remote Inpatient Coding Specialist.

Must be able to:

  • Assign appropriate ICD-10 CM or CPT-4 codes according to established guidelines with a 95% accuracy rate
  • Maintain AHIMA coding standards for productivity
  • Preserve confidentiality of health information

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree Required
  • Minimum of 3 years coding in a hospital setting with experience in Inpatient/MS-DRG coding
  • Must have experience in regulatory issues related to Medicare and other third party payers
  • Require RHIA, RHIT and /or CCS
  • Knowledge of Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting High level of competence in coding ICD-10-CM and CPT-4
  • All other technical requirements necessary for this position
