Job Summary
A Catholic non-profit healthcare system is seeking a Remote Inpatient Coding Specialist.
Must be able to:
- Review and analysis of inpatient medical record documentation
- Apply ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes
- Focus on Medical and Surgical encounters
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification through AHIMA
- 2-5 years of acute care inpatient coding experience
- Associate in Health Information Management preferred (or equivalent in experience)
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding conventions
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
