Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Inpatient Medical Coder I.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Code and abstract Inpatient records for data retrieval, analysis, reimbursement and research
  • Code and enter diagnostic and procedure codes into the designated coding and abstracting system

Position Requirements Include:

  • Minimum of 2 years coding experience
  • Demonstrate beginner to intermediate technical coding competency in ICD-10 CM and ICD-10 PCS
  • Demonstrated competency of inpatient coding guidelines and DRG assignment
