Job Summary
A provider of medical coding services has a current position open for a Remote Inpatient Professional Fee Coder.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Perform the full scope of inpatient procedures performed on patients while admitted to a VA Medical Center
- Utilize ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Produce copies of and maintain active credentials as a certified coder or auditor
Qualifications for this position include:
- 2 years of experience for full-time or part-time remote coding positions
- Previous experience with VA
- Able to pass an initial entrance exam and code at a minimum of 95% accuracy
- Familiar with 95’, 97’ and 2021 guidelines
- Familiar with 3M Encoder for ICD10 and CPT coding
- Must be able to complete work within the required TAT of 5 days from the date of assignment
