A technology-first insurance company has a current position open for a Remote Insurance Underwriting Analyst.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Applying statistical inference to insurance data to draw insights about claims
- Establishing and delivering best practices related to analytical methodologies and dashboards
- Creating unorthodox analytical techniques to enhance underwriting efficiency
Qualifications for this position include:
- 2+ years in an analytical capacity as an actuary, data analyst, financial analyst, underwriting assistant/analyst, or similar
- Strong data querying ability in SQL
- Strong programming and data analytics experience in R or Python
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Understanding of commercial insurance products and the willingness to rapidly learn about new insurance developments
- Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on real-time interaction, either written or verbal
