This challenging and impactful Internal Audit position involves leading and supporting internal investigations of possible occupational fraud or legal noncompliance. The position is part of a diverse, distributed team of internal auditors and requires independent work much of the time. This role requires a self-starter with the ability to think critically, driving investigations to a fair and supportable conclusion. The position works closely with Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, IT, and business and functional management. The position also involves leading projects and may periodically involve participation in Operations Audits or Continuous Audits. Given the global nature of the team and assignments, off-hour meetings are required, and travel may occasionally be necessary.

Skills necessary to succeed in this position include:

Knowledge of common fraud schemes and investigation techniques
Comfort with technology and analyzing large amounts of data
Effective written and oral communication, including the ability to lead interviews, prepare and present summary reports, and work efficiently with a cross-functional investigations team
Strong financial background with knowledge of accounting principles, financial flows
Knowledge of commercial and healthcare laws and regulations
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of internal controls and the importance thereof
Efficient multi-tasking ability, handling a variety of investigations or projects simultaneously
High standard of ethics, accountability, and professionalism
Ability to remain fair and objective even in difficult circumstances
