Job Summary
An insurance company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Legal Counsel Head.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Manage corporate governance for company and its subsidiaries
- Lead all commercial contracting and complex deal negotiations
- Implement sound legal processes and standard form agreements
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Bar admission in California and/or New York
- 5+ years attorney at a top law firm or in-house; a combination of practice at a firm and in-house is preferred
- Experience in highly regulated industries, corporate governance, and management of multiple regulated affiliates
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to novel issues
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert and legal resource for others, including staying current on changes in laws and regulations having to do with the health care industry
