Job Summary

A nonprofit organization has an open position for a Remote Litigation Counsel.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing and managing all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts
  • Developing new cases and litigation strategies to advance animals' rights in the legal system
  • Researching, interpreting, and applying local, state, and federal statutes and regulations

Qualifications Include:

  • Willingness to gain admission to court and bar associations and travel, where necessary
  • J.D. and a minimum of three years civil litigation experience
  • Member in good standing of at least one state bar association
  • Proven excellent legal research, writing, and verbal advocacy skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks within strict time constraints
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
