Job Summary

An animal rights organization needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Media Relations Officer.

Must be able to:

• Establish, develop and maintain contacts with reporters, editors, podcast hosts, and producers
• Research and identify appropriate local and national media outlets
• Draft creative, concise, and interesting story pitches

Qualifications for this position include:

• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of media relations experience
• Demonstrated extensive knowledge of the media industry
• Excellent working knowledge of print, broadcast, podcasting, and online media outlets
• Established relationship with national US reporters and editors
