As a Medical Case Manager working on a Federal contract, you will be part of a national team providing case management services to injured workers. Your broad responsibility will include timely case management services and professional assessments. Using clinical knowledge and nursing experience, you will provide detailed articulate case review summaries of patient services, while working closely with members and providers to collect all information necessary to perform thorough case reviews. Ideal candidates will be organized, talented, articulate, able to write/ edit, customer-oriented, and motivated to work independently in a home office setting while still being part of a supportive team


Responsibilities

Work independently in your home office setting while still being part of a supportive team.
Utilize strong reading and writing skills to prepare professional reports, letters, and meeting notes.
Through an application of a unique mix of knowledge and experience, support a large Federal Agency contract, including services within federal workers' compensation, regulated by the Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA).
Develop a case management plan for each injured worker throughout the various stages of recovery.
Implement integrated medical disability case management services with the goal of preventing, minimizing, or overcoming disability.
Use professional judgment and review clinical information provided to evaluate the case to ensure that appropriate services are approved, conduct retrospective or special care reviews.
Provide medical expertise and serve as the critical communication link between the parties involved in the management of the case.


Qualifications

Unrestricted State Registered Nursing License
3-5 years related clinical experience in medical case management, occupational health, and/or a comparable field.
3+ years case management experience
Preference given to nurses with national certification in case management or related field
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
Attention to detail and timetables
Commitment to completing tasks
Ability to work with a team
Experience with Microsoft Windows
Established Home office with internet router and Ethernet port in the office
Cable or Fiber Optic Internet connection
United States Citizenship
Upon hire, federal security clearance will be required. Federal clearance coordinated by MCA/
Ability to pass a preliminary credit and background check
