Job Summary

A healthcare company has an open position for a Remote Medical Coder.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Perform code abstraction of medical records to ensure ICD-10-CM codes are accurately assigned
• Identify diagnosis and chart level impairments and documentation improvement opportunities
• Assist coding leadership by making recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications Include:

• 3 recent years of production coding experience in Risk Adjustment coding
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical savvy with high level of competence in basic computers, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Current core coding credential through AHIMA or AAPC
