Job Summary
A healthcare system needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Medical Coder II.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Coding and entering diagnostic and procedure codes into a coding and abstracting system
- Meeting qualitative and quantitative coding standards
- Demonstrating the ability to navigate an EMR
Qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of outpatient coding experience
- Competency of outpatient coding guidelines specific to outpatient diagnostics and emergency services
- Demonstrate technical coding competency in coding with current Coding and Indexing systems
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology and coding systems
- Minimum successful completion of coding certificate program
