Job Summary
A healthcare company has a current position open for a Remote Medical Coder II in Brentwood.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing and coding clinical notes for physician documentation
- Coordinating and reconciling encounters to ensure complete charge capture
- Charging entry of coded services into the billing system in a timely manner
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in coding and/or reimbursement activities is required
- Must be proficient with eCW EMR, PatientKeeper charge capture system, and/or other related billing systems
- Must be familiar with third party fee profiles and reimbursement requirements
- CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, AHIMA, AAPC, CPC, or COC certifications
- Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of coding guidelines and relevant federal regulations
