Job Summary

A healthcare company is seeking a Remote Medical Coder III.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing and interpreting medical information, physician treatment plans, courses, and outcomes
• Abstracting data elements to satisfy statistical requests
• Performing thorough medical record review to abstract medical information

Qualifications Include:

• Advanced encoder and computer skills
• RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPCH, CCSP, CCS, COC, or CCA
• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of college level courses in anatomy and physiology and medical terminology
• Minimum 4 years coding experience and cross trained in two of the following: inpatient, outpatient surgery/GI lab/bedded outpatients.Advanced encoder and computer skills
• Expertise in ICD and CPT coding and reporting guidelines
