Job Summary

A medical company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Medical Coding Coordinator in Philadelphia.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing coded medical records for coding and DRG accuracy
• Verifying that the principal diagnosis, secondary diagnoses and disposition have been assigned accurately
• Ensuring the highest level of reimbursement to which the facility is legally entitled

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree required in Health Information Management or related field
• 5+ years inpatient coding experience at a tertiary care facility
• RHIA or RHIT required
• Certified Coding Specialist-CCS (AHIMA)
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy & physiology, and clinical disease processes
• Must meet all other listed company requirements
