Remote Medical Coding Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Medical Coding Educator: Physician Practice professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops and conducts training programs for Health Information Management staff and other personnel
• Assesses and identifies training needs for new hires and existing staff
• Maintains educational materials and provides ongoing support and resources for trainees

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field
• Active certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (CCS-P)
• Three or more years of experience in healthcare information management
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical record documentation
• Experience in education and training within a healthcare setting
