Job Summary

A staffing company has a current position open for a Remote Medical Review Registered Nurse in Jacksonville.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Submitting request to facilities via phone, fax, email, electronic or EMR
• Conducting medical necessity reviews
• Evaluating hospitalized members for benefit determination, medical necessity and appropriate level of care

Skills and Requirements Include:

• Occasional travel within the State of Florida
• Experience with the Healthcare industry and Managed Care
• 3 years of recent (recent within the past 3-5 years) clinical experience in a hospital setting
• Current Florida RN license
• Experience in one or more of the following: Hospital, rehab, utilization review, discharge planning or case management
