Job Summary

A non-profit software development school is filling a position for a Remote Mod 0 Teaching Assistant.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all incoming students
• Co-teaching remote classes for Mod 0 2-3 times a week for 2.5 hours per session with another TA
• Managing Slack and chat room questions

Required Skills:

• Willingness to organize and instruct classes of 30+ students
• Experience using a remote or online platform for communication
• Experience with teaching in K-12 or adult environments
• Ability to hypothesize, plan, execute, and iterate in extremely rapid cycles
• Excellent verbal communication skills, both in technical and non-technical contexts
• Ability to communicate asynchronously with students and staff throughout the week and weekend
