Job Summary
A company designing a network architecture to bring the internet to space is seeking a Remote Network Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing and building terrestrial network connecting ground stations and user segments to core network.
- Working with software development and FPGA development teams to build MPLS router that will be deployed on-orbit
- Building network monitoring system to manage faults, performance, capacity, and security
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years with BGP, MPLS, ISIS, and/or OSPF
- 5+ years working in a Linux/Unix environment
- 3+ years experience in automating network tasks via Bash/shell or Python
- Intermediate-level Python knowledge
- Familiarity working with git for version control
