You'll take leadership of the development and design of product, process and technological advancements. There will be plenty of opportunities to research new technology, transform concepts and strategies into structured projects and make key technical decisions.
This team supports the world's leading software for managing laboratory instrumentation, electronic content management, and business process workflows with software development projects that are customized to specific customer needs. ODS is working on various tools and product customization for our customers. These include migration tools, specialized integrating applications, and technologies to help our customers more efficiently interact with Agilent applications and local third-party applications.
You will be part of the team that is responsible for the last mile integrations that allow customers to realize the benefit and full value of Agilent's offerings as solutions to their operational and scientific problems. Our team is key to enabling our customers to expand their use of data and in the automation and simplification of their IT and analytical workflows.
Your role will include:
Leading the design and delivery of new products and service technology advancements as the key technical contributor observing the development of new applications to assist customers manage, migrate, and supervising their OpenLab Environments
Driving thought leadership in developing groundbreaking solutions using technology such as Docker, SaaS and other technologies that minimize the impact on customers labs.
Guiding the remote development team using the Scrum methodology of the Agile development process
Developing applications and tools that meet customer expectations and the service organizations, working with the SAT (Services Advisory Team) members to clarify field needs
Coordinate with the Sales and Services team to ensure tools meet the needs of our customers and translate those into requirements and development stories
Integrate ODS projects into corporate initiatives and drive alignment between these projects, ensure that ODS projects further these initiatives (e.g., Digital Lab)
Manage ODS product support tickets and customer concerns as needed during heightened situations. This involves working with Agilent internal teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D) to deliver the best resolution for the customer.
Understand the needs of customer's IT departments concerning standard methodologies, supported configurations and virtualization technologies, etc.
