Job Summary
A healthcare revenue cycle management services company has an open position for a Remote Outpatient Coding Consultant.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Perform accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT procedure coding
- Perform accurate ICD-10-PCS coding
- Perform abstracting and data entry of codes
Qualifications for this position include:
- 2+ years-experience coding or auditing in an acute care setting
- AAPC or AHIMA certification required
- Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT classification system
- Working knowledge of ICD-10-PCS coding system and APC reimbursement system
- Proficient in modifier assignment
- Proficient in Coding Clinic, Coding Clinic for HCPCS and CPT Assistant guidelines
