An academic medical center and healthcare system is filling a position for a Remote Outpatient SMART Auditor in Los Angeles.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Performing departmental and interdepartmental coding audits
Transferring the corrected data from quality reviews to hospital computer systems
Identifying cases coded incorrectly and providing feedback and education to the Coder

Qualifications Include:

5 years in acute care hospital facility inpatient / outpatient coding, auditing or related work
Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements governing Coding and Billing
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
Experience working with SMART software
