Job Summary

The Payroll Analyst will be a member of the Human Resources team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in data entry Payroll processing. Work Specifics: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Remote

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Payroll administration for exempt & non-exempt employees nationwide on a semi-monthly basis, including but not limited to:
Set up, modify, and terminate employees in the payroll system
Collect, calculate, summarize, and review timekeeping information for completeness and accuracy
Hold department supervisors accountable for accurate and timely approval of time cards
Obtain supervisory approval of timecard discrepancies
Detailed management of deductions for healthcare insurance, 401k, FSA, etc.
Issue paychecks and process direct deposit payments
Process garnishment requests
Calculate and deposit payroll taxes in payroll system
Direct contact with employees to clarify deductions, direct deposit, and other such details
Track and communicate Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Sick Leave accruals and balances as applicable and appropriate
Process employee final checks and other off-cycle payments, as needed
Complete 401k contributions, 401k loan payments, 401k matching, assist with 401k compliance testing, and other such functions in the 401k web-based system
Compile and provide internal management reports from payroll platform
Process and issue annual W-2 forms to employees
Process employee verifications, as requested
Register with new states for employment, as requested
Research and assist with implementation of new or revised labor law requirements
Receive employee complaints, questions, and concerns about payroll services and communicate those issues to HR Management
Professional collaboration with other company staff
Other responsibilities or duties as may be assigned

Requirements

Minimal Qualifications

2+ years prior experience preferred processing payroll for a multi-state employer, with some knowledge of CA wage & hour law
Proficient with Paylocity platform
Be proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Must be highly analytical
Must be punctual and dependable
Accomplished organizational and time management skills to successfully manage multiple priorities at a given time and deliver excellent results with sense of urgency
Highly effective communicator with an ability to effectively correspond verbally and in writing with multiple constituencies at all levels across the organization
Able to maintain focus and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment
Exceptional time management skills and solid follow-through skills
Skilled in customer service relations, analysis and problem solving
Valid Driver's License and auto insurance must always be maintained
Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
Physical Requirements:

Candidate must be able to sit the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must be able to keyboard the majority of an 8-hour day except for lunch and break times. Candidate must have manual dexterity. Candidate must be able to speak on the telephone intermittently throughout the day. Candidate must be able to read and write English fluently.
