Job Summary
A healthcare review resource provider is filling a position for a Remote Physician Reviewer in Salt Lake City.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing reviews of appealed claims
- Performing initial reviews of medical claims
- Reviewing and adjudicating appeals of pharmacy denials for Pharmacy Benefit Management clients
Qualifications for this position include:
- MD or DO degree, with current board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine - required
- Less than 1-year lapse in current direct patient care responsibilities
- Current, unrestricted medical license/s as required for clinical practice in any state of the United States
- The ability and desire to obtain additional state licenses as required for the position
- Current Board Certification by the ABMS or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) is required
- Minimum of five years of full-time equivalent experience providing direct clinical care to patients
