Job Summary

A leading software and services company has a current position open for a Remote Postgres Database Administrator in Austin.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Write scripts to fully automate configuration and maintenance of databases
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or similar
  • 5+ years of DBA / database development experience in MySQL, Postgres, or AWS Aurora
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) using EC2 and RDS databases
  • Extensive experience in performance tuning, query optimization, replication techniques, clustering
  • Experience with database security concepts, including access, auditing, and encryption
  • All other requirements necessary for this position
