Job Summary
A full-service mortgage services company has an open position for a Remote Quality Control Underwriter.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Underwriting loans, validating compliance with all agency loan guidelines, regulatory requirements, and procedures
- Performing pre-funding reviews of assigned samples of live loan files that have been decided by company Underwriters
- Ensuring the loan file is in compliance with all agency loan guidelines, regulatory requirements, internal Company policies and procedures
Position Requirements Include:
- Ability to attend relevant loan underwriting, credit analysis, or loan program industry training
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience in the retail mortgage lending industry
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of HUD/FNMA.FHLMC/VA Eligibility guidelines, compliance with federal and state laws
- Ability to create reports with large amounts of data in Excel or Access
- Proven working knowledge of loan processes and procedures
