Job Summary
A health insurance company has an open position for a Remote Referral Specialist I in Houston.
Must be able to:
- Initiate and manage clinical referrals for pre-authorization
- Review referrals for completeness and follows up for additional information
- Respond to inbound calls initiating exam requests following established processes, meets quality and production standards
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in a high-volume, interactive customer service or call center environment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in microsoft office
