Job Summary
A national mortgage company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Retail Underwriter.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluating and analyzing all loan packages including credit and collateral documentation
- Checking accuracy of all calculations and analyzes income utilizing personal and/or corporate tax returns of all borrowers
- Assisting with curing deficiencies in loan files as a result of failure to meet investor, FHA, VA, repurchase and/or Company guidelines
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in the mortgage industry
- 1 to 3 years' Reverse DE experience
- Current knowledge of industry guidelines and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations
- DE Approval and CHUMS number
- Knowledge of mortgage underwriting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
