Job Summary
A news media corporation needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Roku Senior Software Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Developing features and ad solutions to be consumed by all websites, web apps and company apps
- Supporting video ad platforms, clients/devices, interfacing with video backends, players, and APIs
- Working with developers on and offsite across different development environments including backend service teams
Position Requirements Include:
- Experience in hands-on Roku development
- Experience with source control systems, specifically Git
- Strong understanding of SDLC and build processes
- Experience with REST APIs interaction and strong understanding of client-server architectures
- Experience with Media Playback, including DRM, streaming concepts, HLS/DASH and manifests
- Hands-on knowledge of core language concepts in Roku including Class/Obj in Brightscript, OOP paradigms, scopes, and more
