Job Summary

A property and casualty insurance company is seeking a Remote Senior Accident and Health Stop Loss Underwriter.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Developing sound Specific and Aggregate Stop Loss pricing recommendations
• Screening large claims data prior to sending for nurse review
• Consulting clients on plan designs and stop loss coverage

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Willingness to travel 1-2 times per year to develop relationships
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical stop loss underwriting and products
• Knowledge and understanding of healthcare payers, health plan administration, and MSPs
• Advanced knowledge of Medical Underwriting practices and principles
• Superior risk management and math skills
