Job Summary
A software company is filling a position for a Remote Senior Cloud Applications Engineer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Develop infrastructure automation (usually python and shell scripts)
- Provide on-call support for integrations with SendGrid, Splunk Cloud, and ZooKeeper
- Leverage AWS cloud formation, cloud init, dockerfiles, and Jenkins infrastructure to implement a robust CI/CD pipeline
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Familiarity with basic zookeeper administration tasks
- Use Jenkins Pipeline DSL to create CI/CD jobs for creating and updating cloud resources in AWS
- Interface with SaaS vendors to discuss ongoing cases, upgrade work, and continuing education
- Working understanding of SPF, DKIM, DMARC and how to apply them to a production level multi-product environment
- Proficient in Splunk’s SPL; use SPL to make dashboards as needed for your team as well as the business
- High level of comfort using various AWS services in harmony to create reliable systems
