Job Summary

An information technology company has an open position for a Remote Senior Cloud Security Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Creating cloud-based infrastructure and programs including implementing identity and access management and configuring cloud environments securely
• Monitoring for and responding to security incidents in the cloud environment
• Reviewing your colleague’s partner integration PR, checking for correctness and security of the design and definitions

Qualifications Include:

• Familiarity with containerized cloud-based deployments using tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform
• Proven know-how to establish security controls in the areas of management security, operational security, and physical security, and how these contribute to a cohesive risk management strategy
• Adeptness with both traditional cybersecurity tactics such as vulnerability scanning, and DevSecOps approaches to implementing security in code
• Familiarity with administration and upkeep of distributed services and backing data stores, and understand how to create secure and resilient systems
• Proven understanding of the the goals and intricacies of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, and OWASP ASVS
• Ability to keep cloud infrastructure current, make recommendations, and continually improving cloud security technologies
