Job Summary
A software development company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Data Platform Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing and implementing highly scalable backend systems and algorithms
- Developing, testing, deploying, and operating high quality, scalable software
- Designing and developing test cases and implementing automated test suites
Position Requirements Include:
- 3+ years of professional experience working with modern programming languages
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work effectively in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Experience with open-source technologies and cloud platforms
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
- Stream processing, messaging semantics, scheduling algorithms, and distributed systems
- Able to design scalable messaging systems for high throughput, performance, reliability and latency
