Job Summary

A company that provides a software platform for machine data is in need of a Remote Senior DevOps and Observability Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop cutting-edge solutions that monitor company’s numerous IT services
  • Seize opportunities to automate the configuration and deployment of various observability tools (e.g. SignalFx, Plumbr, Rigor, OpenTelemetry, Splunk)
  • Perform instrument infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring (APM), and tracing

Position Requirements Include:

  • 8+ years working with distributed systems at scale in IT
  • 5+ years APM and infrastructure monitoring experience
  • 5+ years DevOps experience
  • 3+ years experience with configuration management (Ansible) and infrastructure provisioning tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • 3+ years experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
  • 5+ years experience in cloud platform administration (preferably AWS)
