Job Summary

An information and analytics company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Information Technology Software Engineer.

Must be able to:

  • Develop, engineer, and administer database platforms including the data warehouse, website, and third party application databases
  • Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and production implementation of new and existing ETLs
  • Analyze ambiguous business issues, recommend concrete technology solutions, and stay current on new industry trends and technologies

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience related to BI analytics, reporting tools, and database development
  • Scripting languages (e.g. Perl, bash, Python, PowerShell, VBscript)
  • Experience with service APIs and messaging middleware desired (e.g. JMS, REST/JSON, XML)
  • Experience with performance tuning and analyzing query plans
  • Experience working with software defect tracking methodologies
