Job Summary
A managed healthcare and insurance company is filling a position for a Remote Senior Inpatient Acute Edits Medical Coder.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Identifying appropriate assignment of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Codes
- Identifying appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-10 Codes for outpatient surgery
- Understanding the Medicare Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) codes
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CIC, ROCC, CPC, COC, CPC-P)
- 3+ years of recent Inpatient medical coding experience (hospital, facility, etc)
- 2+ years of recent working experience with OCE, MUE and NCCI classification and reimbursement structures
- Must have ICD-10 and DRG coding experience
- Experience working in a level I trauma center and/or teaching hospital
