Job Summary

A healthcare services company is filling a position for a Remote Senior Inpatient Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing medical records
  • Determining accurate required abstracting elements
  • Achieving accuracy and consistency in the selection of principal and secondary diagnoses

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Must be able to travel nationally as needed, not to exceed 10%
  • AHIMA or AAPC approved credential
  • Three to five years’ experience performing medical record coding in acute care setting
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Associate or Bachelor’s in Health Information, Nursing, or related, or formal coding classes
  • Years of coding experience would be considered in lieu of educational requirements
