Job Summary

An assessment company has a current position open for a Remote Senior MySQL Data Base Administrator in Iowa City.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Reviewing and assessing the impact of database design changes prior to their implementation
  • Troubleshooting critical performance bottlenecks for MySQL databases
  • Installing, patching, upgrading, configuring, tuning and maintaining MySQL databases

Qualifications Include:

  • Up to 25% Travel
  • Experience with and strong proficiency in MySQL database management and database performance tuning
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area required; preferably in computer scienceOr an equivalent c
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience, including a minimum of 3 years of in-depth MySQL database experience
  • Experience with backup and recovery techniques
  • Experience with large scale data migration from and to MySQL databases
