Job Summary

A software platform company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Operations Security Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Identifying anomalies generated by monitoring solutions within the environment
  • Creating tools and processes to monitor, detect, and mitigate risks discovered
  • Leading security response efforts raised from the remainder of the company, escalating as necessary

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with Splunk as a centralized logging service and SIEM
  • Familiarity with penetration testing tools
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages
  • Experience with threat modeling/incident response and tabletop exercises
  • Experience leveraging programming languages to solve problems and automate solutions
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services(AWS) cloud application architecture and best security practices
