An academic medical center is seeking a Remote Senior Revenue Cycle Operations Coder in Galveston.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Properly coding professional inpatient, physician outpatient and technical charges
- Ensuring accuracy and optimal reimbursement from all third party payers
- Conducting the quality review of outpatient coding
Qualifications for this position include:
- Ability to actively participate in team meetings and educational sessions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of medical billing or related experience, or training from an accredited agency
- Proficient in Inpatient Professional, Outpatient Technical and Professional and Procedures
- Experience with training and education for coders and providers
- CCA, CCS, or CCSP from AHIMA or or CPCA, CPC, CPCHA from AAPC
