Job Summary
A software development company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Safety and Regulatory Counsel.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Advise the company safety board on safety, risk, and technical compliance topics
- Provide high-quality, pragmatic legal and business advice
- Serve as Co-Chair of the Legal and Regulatory and Safety Committee
Qualifications for this position include:
- Juris Doctorate degree and a member in good standing of a state bar
- At least 8 years of broad regulatory and product safety experience
- Thorough working knowledge of federal and state government laws and regulations related to motor vehicles and trucking
- Experience working proactively with a wide variety of stakeholders to develop and implement processes
- Experience working directly and proactively with regulators to resolve regulatory issues and influence regulatory policy
