A recruiting firm is in need of a Remote Senior Scala Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Building and maintaining services in Scala and the Play framework
  • Working with very large Elasticsearch clusters
  • Participating in code review and shipping code on a daily basis

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Team outings for various events
  • Scala and Java, Java and Python experience is okay
  • Experience with Play framework, Elasticsearch, Postgres, RabbitMQ, and Redis
  • Bash scripting and Unix-based systems experience
  • Experience building and scaling web applications
  • Experience with distributed systems
