Job Summary
A technology company that specializes in cybersecurity has a current position open for a Remote Senior Security Researcher Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Creating the rules, content-packs and hunting triggers for the company's Cloud Security product
- Tracking capabilities of new and existing public cloud services and understanding how adversaries may exploit these resources to advance their modes of interest
- Mapping industry-standard compliance standards onto public cloud infrastructure, to provide customers insight into cloud hygiene and compliance
Position Requirements Include:
- 2-6 years of experience
- Ability to track and research release of new cloud resource types and services
- Ability to focus on security risk and attack surface expansion
- Familiarity with common compliance standards, such as CIS Benchmarks, PCI-DSS and HIPAA
- Demosntrated research mindset, with a hold on where to look for relevant information pertaining to cloud threats, vulnerabilities and key adversarys’ modes of interest
- Ability to coordinate with Security SMEs to build hunting rules and triggers, which focus on adversary activity within the cloud control plane
