Job Summary
An information technology and professional services company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Systems Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing technical support and guidance on a variety of architecture, design, integration and technical aspects of systems development aligned with VA standards
- Performing analysis and review of requirements pertaining to the effective development, provisioning, etc., of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure
- Providing system administration, engineering, and management support services, including cloud infrastructure
Qualifications for this position include:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Solid experience in system administration, engineering, and management of support services for the Windows/Solaris OS
- Knowledge of cloud technologies to participate, identify, create, and deliver infrastructure services and architecture for new systems
- Understanding of financial applications including EDI and claims processing
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate problems
