Job Summary

An IT advisory and software development company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Technical Big Data Lead in Hartford.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Illustrating multiple options for a given business problem
• Liaising with the customer key stakeholders including Program manager, Enterprise Architect, BAs, DBAs, Infra and Hadoop admins, third parties such as Cloudera, STRIIM etc
• Providing technical approaches for building a given solution

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Experience and skills with Cloudera, Spark, Scala, HIVE, HBase, and Kafka
• Ability to understand technical limitations and provide solutions to overcome them
• Ability to assist the team in performance tuning
• Ability to assist team is developing test strategy, build test scenarios, assist the team is building test data and help identify solutions to data related issues
• Ability to assist the team at offshore with organizing relevant meetings with the key stakeholders
• Ability to provide expert advice on matters such as Spark, Scala, HIVE, HBASE, KAFKA, Cloudera Manager, STRIIM, Oracle etc
