Job Summary

A social media company has an open position for a Remote Site Reliability Engineering Senior Software Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Performing deep dives into both systemic and latent reliability issues
• Troubleshooting issues across the entire stack
• Driving standardization efforts across multiple disciplines and services

Skills and Requirements Include:

• Understanding of systems and application design, including the operational trade-offs of various designs
• Practical knowledge of various aspects of  service design like messaging protocols and behavior
• Practical, solid knowledge of shell scripting and at least one higher-level language
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Linux servers
• Experience in handling services in a large scale environment
• Practical experience in Java or Scala
