Job Summary
An e commerce community and online marketplace is seeking a Remote SRE Staff Database Reliability Engineer.
Must be able to:
- Manage and improve multiple large-scale, cloud-hosted Vitess, MySQL, Memcached, and Redis environments
- Build and enhance our tooling, automation, and CI/CD workflows that provide safe self-service capabilities to your SRE team and software engineering teams
- Improve the overall quality of engineering done on your team and consistently take steps to support the growth and success of your teammates
Qualifications for this position include:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience in a modern programming language is required (e.g., Python, Go)
- Knowledge of MySQL, Memcached, or Redis is a big plus
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tooling is essential (we like Ansible, Chef, Terraform)
- Creative and passionate about technology and are as eager to contribute and share your knowledge and ideas as you are to learn from others.
