Job Summary
A financial service company is in need of a Remote STD Case Specialist III.
Must be able to:
- Set claim action plan to ensure that determinations are adjudicated in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
- Review claim payments
- Interpret contracts and ensures consistent, fair claims practices and adherence to appropriate laws, regulations, and procedures
Position Requirements Include:
- 2+ years of short term disability product line experience required
- Effective ability to use legal resources
- The successful exercise of autonomous judgment to settle claims in accordance with policy provisions
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and adjustment of claim payments
- Able to learn new and complex computer systems
- End user computing skills, including proven proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Windows 7
