Job Summary

A financial services company is filling a position for a Remote Stop Loss Support Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing complex claims & situations & make informed decisions that require judgment by providing directions on excess risk claims
  • Responding to internal and external claim or reporting inquiries from managers, brokers, general agents and administrators
  • Providing direction, developing, training & mentoring less experienced claims staff, including completing audits & providing feedback

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Minimum 5-7 years claims or insurance experience)
  • Knowledge of industry related claim systems and practices
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel (macros, pivots and formulas)
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
