Job Summary
A medical care provider is in need of a Remote Substance Use Counselor in San Francisco.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Working as part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Maintaining an assigned caseload of clients seeking substance use treatment and mental health treatment
- Conducting assessments, individual counseling sessions, and progress reviews with each client face to face, via phone or telehealth
Qualifications for this position include:
- Utilizes principles of a trauma-informed care and harm reduction to attend to client milieu
- Facilitating group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery, and trauma recovery
- Utilizes principles of a trauma-informed care and harm reduction to attend to client milieu
- Attends regular trainings, meetings, and events related to furthering professional development
- Responsible for documenting all individual and group counseling sessions
